Ready to suit up as a Lead Security Specialist

The Lead Specialist plays a key role in supporting corporate security operations and strategic initiatives across corporate offices. This position focuses on coordinating programs, supporting operational planning, and assisting leadership with the execution of corporate safety and security initiatives.

 

Working closely with Corporate Security leadership, this role supports the development of processes, maintains documentation and reporting, prepares presentations, and ensures effective communication of key operational updates. The Lead Security Specialist acts as a central point of coordination for security-related programs, helping drive consistency, organization, and continuous improvement across the region.

 

This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced corporate environment and enjoys supporting operations, facilitating meetings, and ensuring initiatives move forward effectively.

Responsibilities for Lead Security Specialist

  • Support Corporate Security leadership with the coordination and execution of operational initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and briefing materials for leadership meetings and program updates.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and recording meeting minutes and action items.
  • Maintain documentation including standard operating procedures, internal guidelines, and program materials.
  • Track and report on operational activities, key updates, and program outcomes.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing coordination of corporate safety and security programs.
  • Assist with maintaining workplace health and safety standards and internal compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and business partners to support security-related initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Support incident documentation, reporting processes, and follow-up tracking where required.
  • Assist with risk reviews and operational planning for corporate events or activities.
  • Maintain internal communication with relevant teams regarding operational updates or disruptions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance program effectiveness.

Qualifications for Lead Security Specialist

  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Experience in corporate security leadership or similar role. 
  • Strong knowledge of OHS standards and business continuity frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for executive interaction.
  •  Knowledge in physical security controls such as access control, CCTV and intrusion systems - an asset
  •  Ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
