Join our dynamic maintenance team and be at the forefront of keeping our production equipment running at peak performance! We're looking for a skilled Senior Maintenance Professional who can bring their technical expertise to ensure our manufacturing operations maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and reliability.

 

The Maintenance Technician (Electronics Technician) supports manufacturing operations by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, evaluating, and repairing electronic test equipment and systems. The role ensures all work meets technical specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements while helping maintain reliable production equipment and efficient processes.

 

What will you do:

 

Anaylsis:

  • Collect data to understand technical issues; determine scope and ensure site safety
  • Review manuals, schematics, and data sheets to support problem solving
  • Identify and set up appropriate tests, select equipment interfaces, and operate test equipment
  • Compare test results against specifications and standards; record results and communicate findings clearly
  • Identify and report technical, health, or environmental risks

Commissioning & Maintenance:

  • Interpret schematics and drawings to resolve issues
  • Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures and recognize and report electrical hazards
  • Build assemblies from schematics; troubleshoot wiring, PLCs, microprocessors, instrumentation, and other systems
  • Use systematic fault-finding techniques
  • Configure hardware/software; commission equipment and verify performance
  • Repair or replace defective components, including soldering
  • Install, operate, maintain, and calibrate manufacturing electronic systems (networks, PLCs, sensors, communication circuits, instrumentation)
  • Maintain accurate documentation and provide technical recommendations for improvements
  • Use certified/calibrated equipment to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair systems
  • Support identification of non-conforming components and lessons learned
  • Evaluate electronic systems using test instruments; perform end-to-end testing and maintain configuration/performance records
  • Monitor equipment operation and set up/verify monitoring tools

  • Remain adaptable, open to feedback, and effective in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Assets

  • ASTTBC certification or equivalent
  •  Experience using a CMMS to document Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
  • Familiarity with LabView, SQL-based systems, Oracle, or SharePoint
  • Exposure to project management methodologies (DMAIC, Six Sigma, chartering)

The compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive, is CAD $29.00-$37.00/hour for candidates who are B.C. residents. Our salary ranges are determined by including roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
