Are you an experienced security professional ready for a high-responsibility, high-visibility role? Commissionaires Southern Alberta is looking for SOC Guards to protect critical infrastructure through remote alarm monitoring, rapid incident response, and on-site patrols.

This is not your typical security position. You’ll work in a technology-driven Security Operations Centre, handling sensitive alerts, managing access, and conducting patrols across high-profile facilities. Every decision you make impacts operational continuity and the safety of personnel—precision and professionalism are essential.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor remote alarms and alerts, acting promptly and decisively
• Respond to service requests and manage access control
• Conduct building patrols and provide escorts to sensitive areas
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation for operational accountability
• Follow procedures with high standards while adapting to evolving security needs

What We’re Looking For

• Alberta Security License & First Aid/CPR certification
• Exceptional judgment, situational awareness, and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and professional presence
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, demonstrated through a standard assessment
• Comfortable using security technology, including video management and reporting systems
• Able to work independently while supporting team operations

Physical & Operational Requirements

• Walk, patrol, climb stairs, lift to 30 lbs.
• Sit for extended periods while monitoring alarms and communication systems
• Maintain focus across multiple communication channels
• Respond quickly to alerts, phone calls, and radios

Working Conditions

• Shifts: 9–12 hours during the days or 12 hours during the nights
• Blend of SOC monitoring and building patrols
