The Strategic Revenue Management - Transformation Lead  serves as the strategic partner in shaping the roadmap on value creation pipeline through the SRM levers for the Canadian Pet Nutrition business. With deep functional expertise, this associate will influence the agenda, lead key initiatives and collaborate with local and global stakeholders to unlock value through core SRM pillars of Trade, Portfolio (price pack architecture, promotions and strategic pricing) and Mix management.

This associate will also drive elevation of the SRM capability through maximizing the digital agenda and embedding SRM as a discipline in the Canadian Pet business.

What are we looking for?

  • Undergrad or MBA or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of business experience with 3-5 years of SRM/RGM experience within the CPG Industry is required.
  • Additional track record of success in at least 1 of the following 3 areas: Demand functions (preferably Sales or Insights/Category); Support functions (Finance).
  • Experience which demonstrates advanced problem solving and analytic capabilities and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Advanced Excel Skill (PowerBI highly preferred).

What will be your key responsibilities?

Elevate the SRM agenda through shaping strategic priorities & partnering with key stakeholders on initiatives

  • Define the roadmap for the medium to long term value creation for Pet Nutrition Canada through SRM levers by deep understanding of local market context and functional expertise.
  • Engage senior local and global leadership and key stakeholders in service of delivering the agenda.
  • Manage ongoing business connectivity between market and global stakeholders for stronger partnership on SRM.

Lead the trade architecture pillar for PN Canada

  • Manage & optimize trade spend agreements and shape the strategy for the organization.
  • The primary focus is on delivering against trade terms optimization and ROI enhancements within working and non-working trade.
  • Drive initiatives that set up revenue maximization through trade strategy efficiencies.
  • Establish KPIs and regularly monitor trade investment performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Price Pack Architecture

  • Lead & embed top quartile Price-Pack Architecture capabilities within Mars Pet Nutrition Canada.
  • Unlock sustained value creation through shaping a robust and holistic price-pack architecture strategy and engage key stakeholders towards its delivery.  
  • Identify opportunities and create actionable recommendations for portfolio price and price pack strategies, leveraging fact-based insights and analyses to delivery of internal and external metrics.
