Agilus is recruiting for a Lead Process Engineer in the Engineering Sector in Calgary, Alberta. Our client is hiring for a Lead Process Engineer on complex energy and resource projects. This position provides technical expertise, oversees project execution, mentors engineering teams, ensures quality and regulatory compliance, and collaborates closely with clients and multidisciplinary groups to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality project outcomes. Total rewards: $80.00 - $100.00 hourly Opportunity to contract with a leading engineering firm. Preferred rates for benefit coverage available. Potential for contract extension. A typical day: Lead process engineering scope and ensure all deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and client requirements. Oversee project quality, schedule, budget, and scope, including change management. Provide technical leadership across all project phases—feasibility through commissioning. Lead, mentor, and support process engineers and designers in daily execution. Define work packages, allocate resources, and manage team workload. Uphold safety culture and ensure compliance with quality procedures. Serve as a primary technical interface for clients and internal stakeholders. Successful candidates will have: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; P.Eng. designation required. Strong technical expertise in SAGD, gas processing, and/or cogeneration/gas-to-power projects. Proven experience leading process engineering within multidisciplinary project environments. Solid understanding of process engineering fundamentals and related engineering disciplines. Knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency with MS Office and process engineering software tools. Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work within schedule and budget.
