Salary: 24.50 per Hour
 

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid) 
Language: Bilingual in Mandarin and English (written and spoken)
Duration: 12 month contract (potential for extension or permanency based on performance.)
Background Check Requirement: A background check is required.
Pay Rate:  $24.50/hour.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:15pm (10am-7pm hours every 3 months).

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence in both Mandarin and English to collect overdue payments.
  • In this role, you’ll negotiate payment arrangements and resolve disputes to ensure timely payment of accounts.
  • You’ll maintain accurate and detailed records of all communication and payment activities in the company’s systems.
  • You’ll work with customers to establish realistic repayment plans based on their financial situation.
  • You’ll monitor accounts and assess risk, identifying trends or patterns that may require escalation.
  • You’ll collaborate with other departments, such as Finance and Customer Service, to resolve complex account issues.
  • In team meetings, you’ll contribute to developing best practices for collections and customer interaction.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in collections, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Bilingual (Mandarin & English): Fluency in both languages is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess account situations and propose effective solutions.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Regulatory knowledge of relevant financial services regulations and best practices is an asset.
