About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established organization within the regulated automotive distribution sector, is seeking a Compliance and Investigations Specialist to strengthen oversight across dealer networks and export activities. This is a high-impact role where your analytical mindset and sound judgment will help protect program integrity and mitigate financial and reputational risk.

You will collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, IT, and external authorities, working at the intersection of data, policy, and operations. Your work will directly influence leadership decisions, shape corrective actions, and ensure adherence to export, reseller, and KYC policies across a national footprint.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll run daily anomaly monitoring across sales and registration data, identifying red flags such as reseller patterns, export signals, duplicate identities, and unusual purchasing activity.
  • In this role, you’ll review and validate deal files, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper KYC documentation.
  • You’ll assess potential policy violations, quantify financial impact, calculate penalties or chargebacks, and recommend corrective actions.
  • You’ll liaise with Legal and, when required, external authorities regarding export inquiries and case escalations.
  • You’ll maintain dashboards and case pipelines, providing concise briefings and monthly reporting on trends, hotspots, and recovered funds.
  • You’ll collaborate with IT and Data teams to design practical automation rules, watchlists, and pattern-based alerts.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in compliance, audit, investigations, fraud, AML, KYC, or export controls.
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing transactional documentation and applying policy with clear, defensible findings.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including pattern detection and dashboard reporting, with advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including formal correspondence and executive-ready briefings.
  • High discretion, strong project management skills, and the ability to work independently in cross-functional environments.
