Feltham Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our loyal clientele and the highest-quality care for their pets.
Your role will be:
Assisting Veterinarians and Technicians with various tasks and the treatment of pet patients
Providing compassionate care duties, including feeding and walking patients
General hospital maintenance, including cleaning kennels, laundry, and stocking inventory
Enhance the client’s experience by coordinating between the clients and members of the medical team
Carries out Reception tasks as required (e.g. answering telephone calls, invoicing clients, booking appointments)
• Maintains autoclave packs
• Washes, dries, and wraps greens for sterilization
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Prepares appointment rooms for examinations (e.g. ensuring rooms are stocked and clean)

Compassion and a nurturing attitude when providing care to clients and patients
Ability to remain calm and efficient in stressful situations
Positive outlook and enthusiasm for learning
Initiative in carrying out assignments independently
Ability to manage time efficiently while taking on multiple tasks
Previous work experience in a veterinary practice is considered an asset
