You will support a multi-building mix of residential and commercial properties, partnering closely with property management and ownership to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting.

Your Responsibilities

• You’ll manage the full-cycle property accounting for a multi-property residential and commercial portfolio.
• In this role, you’ll prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including bank reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, and intercompany entries.
• You’ll maintain accurate rent rolls, tenant ledgers, and occupancy reporting.
• You’ll prepare annual operating budgets, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis with actionable insights.
• You’ll review and interpret commercial and residential leases, managing overpayments, credits, and tenant reconciliations.
• You’ll collaborate closely with building staff to resolve invoicing, coding, and system setup issues, while improving processes along the way.

Skills and Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting experience within the real estate or property management space
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting, AP/AR, GL, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Comfort interpreting leases and translating details into accurate accounting entries.
• Experience with Hopem or similar property management software.
• An enthusiastic, proactive mindset with strong follow-through and communication skills.
