The role we are offering you: 

 

This position is primarily responsible for processing data gathered from the Harvard II aircraft strain gauges and onboard engine monitoring systems located at 15 Wing Moose Jaw.  He/she will use this data to produce associated fatigue status reports for the aircraft structures and engines of these aircraft fleets as well as providing data to support technical investigations and/or Flight Safety requirements.   

 

 In addition to this primary responsibility, this candidate will assist engineers and technical specialists within the organization with research and investigation on aircraft technical issues that arise as well as aircraft design or process improvement projects.    

 

Our ideal candidate has: 

  • Highly conscientious with strong attention to detail  

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills  

  • Some experience working with spreadsheets and databases (e.g., MS Excel, MS Access, Oracle)  

  • Relevant experience or a demonstrated interest in the aviation industry is beneficial.  

 

Preferred Education 

  • Must be currently enrolled in second year or greater of an Engineering Degree plus enrollment to return as a full-time student.  

 

Location of the internship is in Moose Jaw 

 

Internship will be carried out in person 

 

*All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. Also being able to obtain all necessary re-transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations.  They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years.  

 

*Please take note that if you are on a student, work or international student permit, the delays for the security background check take minimum 16 weeks.
