Applicants shall be physically and mentally able to perform duties, be highly reliable, have strong attention to detail, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
· Must have 5 years residency in Canada
· Must have a valid security guard license
· Valid driver’s license and clear driver's abstract
· Obtain a VOP – Vehicle Operators Permit through the Commissionaires
· Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
· Ability to walk in large areas or stand for extended periods of time
· Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
· Basic computer skills are required on most sites; (email, Word, data entry in Excel)
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions
· Leadership skills would be an asset
Duties:
· Responsible for foot patrols / vehicle patrols
· Must be able to walk and climb stairs
· Provide access to buildings during lockouts
· Report any issues discovered to the appropriate authorities
· Ensuring client property is secure in accordance with post orders
· Ensuring that facility policies are followed
· Completing daily logs and written reports as necessary
Bilingual (English/French) an asset, Canadian Forces and RCMP veterans are encouraged to apply. Commissionaires will provide necessary training using in-class and/or virtual environment.
