Salary: From 85,000 to 90,000 per Year
 

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Hybrid, 2 days on-site per week, 3 days remote. Three days on-site required during onboarding period. Bloor & Spadina. 

Language: Advanced written and spoken English required, French considered a strong asset

Duration: 14-month contract, maternity leave coverage

Background Check Requirement: Not required

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Canada’s education sector. As the Senior Marketing Specialist, you will play a key role in driving national outreach and member growth initiatives, ensuring prospective and current members clearly understand the organization’s value and impact. You’ll collaborate with a close-knit team of marketing, communications, and strategic professionals who value creativity, accountability, and collaboration. From leading conference outreach to executing digital campaigns, your work will directly influence member engagement and national brand presence, with occasional travel required to represent the organization at events across Canada.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll implement national marketing and outreach campaigns aligned with strategic growth objectives and brand standards.
  • You’ll represent the organization at conferences and events, leading exhibitor presence and building relationships with prospective members.
  • You’ll manage digital marketing initiatives including eblasts, content marketing, website updates, and campaign tracking.
  • You’ll support preferred sponsor and partnership programs, coordinating promotional campaigns and quarterly communications.
  • You’ll oversee elements of the advertising strategy, working with external agencies and monitoring budgets and performance.
  • You’ll contribute to lead generation efforts through face-to-face outreach and data-informed campaign optimization.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or strategic outreach roles
  • University degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong digital marketing expertise including email campaigns, content development, and website content management
  • Proven experience representing a brand at conferences or external events
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
