Agilus is recruiting for a QA/QC Specialist (Contract – Part-Time) in the Metals Sector in Burlington, Ontario. We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Specialist to support major global projects by conducting vendor audits, equipment inspections, and quality oversight from fabrication through delivery. This contract role is ideal for a seasoned professional seeking meaningful, flexible part-time work with occasional full-time intensity based on project cycles. Total rewards: $40.00 - $60.00 hourly Flexible hours (approx. 3 days/week targeted; fluctuate based on project load). Paid Time Off: 5 vacation days and 3 sick/wellness days Travel & Expenses: All travel expenses covered with access to a rental program or mileage reimbursement A typical day: Conduct new vendor evaluations including safety, environmental, and compliance audits. Perform QA/QC inspections at vendor sites and fabrication facilities (local & international). Verify equipment compliance with technical drawings, measurements, and purchase order specifications. Complete QC checks on inbound materials at company warehouse locations. Participate in witness testing and sign-off procedures prior to shipment. Support Project Managers by preparing QA/QC documentation, manuals, and ISO-related materials. Maintain quality oversight from fabrication to delivery, ensuring all equipment meets project standards. Act as an expediter, ensuring timelines, documentation, and handovers meet project requirements. Successful candidates will have: 5–10 years QA/QC experience in manufacturing, heavy equipment, or industrial environments. Experience with large equipment fabrication (asset). Prior experience in a large company, EPC/EPCM, or global manufacturing environment (asset). Ability to read and verify technical drawings (dimensions, weight, layout). Strong understanding of quality, safety, and ISO processes. Self-directed, organized, and able to manage a highly flexible workload.
