Requisition ID: 251036

Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.

We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong financial‑services experience to design and optimize GCP‑based data pipelines supporting retail credit risk, regulatory reporting, and RDARR (BCBS 239) compliance. You will build high‑quality, reliable data flows used for risk analytics, IFRS9, capital models, stress testing, and enterprise reporting. This role requires both technical expertise and deep understanding of credit risk, loan lifecycle data, and regulatory expectations.

In this role you will:

  • Build and enhance pipelines supporting IFRS9, PD/LGD/EAD modeling, collections analytics, and credit decisioning.
  • Engineer ingestion and transformation for key domains: loan origination, customer & bureau data, behavioural/transaction data, portfolio data, payment history, collateral, and product metadata.
  • Design and manage scalable ETL/ELT using Dataproc (Spark/PySpark), BigQuery, Cloud Composer (Airflow), Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Talend.
  • Deliver batch and near–real‑time data processing for risk and finance applications.
  • Perform complex transformations to standardize loan lifecycle states, normalize instrument/portfolio data, derive risk attributes (DPD, utilization, LTV, exposures, roll rates), and integrate data from multiple systems.
  • Develop reusable, scalable transformation frameworks for regulatory and analytics teams.
  • Data quality: Implement validation, reconciliation, and automated checks for completeness, integrity, duplicates, outliers, and business‑rule adherence.
  • Ensure reliability and uptime of production pipelines, meeting RTO/RPO expectations.
  • Support EOD/MTD/risk reporting cycles and investigate pipeline issues quickly to prevent downstream delays (e.g., IFRS9, stress testing, RCR‑CDS).

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • 5+ years of data engineering experience in financial services, banking, or credit domains.
  • Hands‑on experience with GCP (Dataproc, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Airflow).
  • Strong SQL (window functions, optimization) and Python for ETL/automation.
  • Experience with large-scale credit, loan, customer, and risk datasets.
  • Knowledge of RDARR (BCBS 239) requirements.
  • Experience supporting regulatory processes such as IFRS9, Basel/CAR, risk & capital models, or retail credit risk reporting.
  • Experience with metadata/lineage tools and governance platforms.
  • Familiarity with credit bureau data and retail credit products.
  • Exposure to real‑time/microservice ingestion (Pub/Sub, Kafka, Cloud Functions).
  • Experience with Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business and risk requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Spanish language skills are an asset.
