Agilus is recruiting for a Process Operator in the oil & gas sector in Mooretown, Ontario. Total rewards: $40.00 - $45.00 hourly The shift schedule is a 12-hour rotation of days and nights (three on, three off). A typical day: Learn all operating units within the assigned area of the facility and progress in increasing levels of responsibility at the site. Perform plant operation duties for smooth and efficient operations and ensure strong communication and collaboration exists between shift changes. Report and appropriately flag all plant-related issues beyond your scope to your leader. Prepare and complete daily area logs and communicate significant changes and findings in a timely manner. Have oversight to the work of maintenance and contract personnel as required. Ensure timely action and process adjustments during plant upsets that are consistent with operational objectives and target outputs. Prepare equipment and systems for maintenance and commissioning. Successful candidates will have: Working on or hold 4th Class Power (Operating) Engineer Certification or higher (through the Technical Standards & Safety Authority – TSSA). A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record. Preference for: Two years of experience working in an industrial/ manufacturing facility 2nd Class Power (Operating) Engineer Certificate, A diploma in Chemical Process Engineering Technology, or Power Engineering Technology. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to make timely decisions associated with process upsets. Adaptive work style with an ability to handle multiple priorities, challenging demands and function positively in a dynamic work environment.
