Summary

We’re looking for a dynamic on-air talent who can captivate listeners across multiple platforms. If you live and breathe audio storytelling, thrive on social media, and love connecting with your community, this is your moment.

This is a one-year maternity leave hybrid position that gives you the perfect balance: spend part of your week on-air connecting with listeners in real-time and spend your other time creating engaging social media content and collaborating with our programming and promotions team. You’ll seamlessly blend the energy of live radio with the creativity of digital content creation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bring energy and authenticity to our airwaves as a radio announcer on one of the biggest Top 40 stations in the country
  • Voice track across markets and voice commercials when needed
  • Represent us at community, sales and charitable events
  • Create scroll-stopping content for MOVE and Virgin Radio’s social platforms
  • Collaborate with on air, programming and promotions teams to execute innovative social media campaigns
  • Dive into analytics to uncover what works and develop strategies that amplify engagement
  • Build and nurture our online community with content that connects
  • Contribute fresh ideas in programming meetings
  • Jump in wherever needed, flexibility and teamwork are in your DNA

Critical Qualifications

  • Passionate about radio, content, and connecting with people.
  • You understand that great content doesn’t stop when the mic turns off
  • At least 2 years of on-air experience.
  • Proven ability to engage and grow an audience with personality and relatability.
  • Strong understanding of social media and how to use it for better brand engagement.
  • A collaborative team player who’s creative, and willing to go the extra mile.
  • A self starter, extremely motivated, and doesn’t hesitate to take initiative
  • Comfortable being out front at public events, client functions, and on camera.
  • Solid board skills, audio & video editing.
  • Knowledge of Wide Orbit, Music Master, Adobe Audition/Premier Pro preferred.
  • A valid class 5 BC driver’s license (or equivalent).

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
