About the Opportunity

Our client in the public services sector is seeking an Events and Recognition Program Coordinator to support internal events and employee recognition initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing people together through meaningful programs that celebrate contributions and milestones.

In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure events run smoothly and recognition programs are delivered with care and accuracy. Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll develop and manage RSVP pages, track registrations, and maintain detailed event reports.

  • In this role, you’ll coordinate scheduling, logistics, and provide onsite event support as required.

  • You’ll manage inventory for branded and recognition materials and respond to inquiries through shared inboxes.

  • You’ll assist with data entry, reporting, vendor follow-ups, and program administration for recognition and retirement initiatives.

  • You’ll maintain service pin and retirement databases, coordinating mailings, certificates, and related documentation.

  • You’ll create and edit presentation materials and support reporting for internal stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Event Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and INDEX-MATCH.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Previous experience in event coordination or employee programs is considered an asset.
