We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Navigator who also serves as a Delivery Lead with strong experience in Agile delivery, enterprise modernization, cross‑functional coordination, and end‑to‑end technology execution. This role is critical to enabling successful delivery of digital modernization initiatives across Wealth Management, Brokerage, and broader Canadian Banking Technology. The ideal candidate will have deep experience guiding technology teams, navigating complex system landscapes, coordinating release and operational readiness, overseeing software currency initiatives, and ensuring alignment with architecture and engineering best practices. Knowledge of Agile methodologies, risk/impediment management, and multi‑team integration is essential. Experience in the financial services industry is strongly preferred.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
• Oversee technical delivery for software currency / technology upgrade projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and modernization roadmaps.
• Manage scheduled release cycles and delivery activities, ensuring readiness, proper sequencing, and minimal risk to production systems.
• Lead and support other project delivery management responsibilities, including end‑to‑end planning, risk management, and cross‑team execution.
• Bring technical expertise to drive productive discussions with Architects and Technical Leads, ensuring alignment to architecture, solution design, and technical standards.
• Guide and participate in creating educated estimates for features, stories, and technical components using your knowledge of design patterns and delivery practices.
• Identify roadmap and feature dependencies and impediments, ensuring they are surfaced, tracked, escalated, and removed to maintain delivery flow.
• Facilitate team discussions, decision making, conflict resolution, and foster a safe, trusting environment for raising and resolving issues.
• Assist in identifying and mitigating project and delivery risks through proactive assessment and early detection.
• Identify and act on coaching opportunities at both the individual and team level to uplift delivery capability.
• Conduct Agile Maturity assessments and use results to drive continuous performance improvement.
• Facilitate core Agile ceremonies including Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives.
• Facilitate long‑term planning activities such as Release Planning and Release Train / PI Planning.
• Support the Product Owner with story grooming, backlog readiness, prioritization, dependency sequencing, and roadmap clarity.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks using Agile best practices and delivery frameworks.
• Forecast deliverables using evidence‑based planning, historical data, and measurable team metrics.
• Demonstrate expertise in estimation and planning, creating reliable and practical delivery plans for software development projects.
• Provide standardized reporting on team performance including velocity, stories completed, status, risks, and decisions.
• Coordinate operational readiness activities with Security, Infrastructure, Network, QA, and Release Engineering teams.
• Oversee and coordinate software release activities, ensuring adherence to change, release, and governance processes.
• Actively participate in defining product backlog items in collaboration with Product Owners and Business Analysts.
• Ensure alignment to overall product architecture and technical design in partnership with Architecture and Engineering Leads.
• Communicate with other Scrum/Agile teams to track tactical dependencies, integration points, and delivery alignment.
• Support production deployments, triage issues, and assist with timely resolution across environments.
• Champion a high‑performance, inclusive environment and uphold the Bank’s values, compliance expectations, and risk culture.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
• 5–7+ years of technical project delivery experience in roles such as Delivery Lead, Scrum Master, Technology Navigator, or similar.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of software development practices, engineering workflows, and system integration approaches.
• Proven experience applying Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies to deliver complex IT projects.
• Deep understanding of backlog tracking, workflow metrics, task breakdown, and iterative planning.
• Experience with Agile engineering techniques such as automated testing, CI/CD, user stories, and continuous integration.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills, with the ability to navigate complex system landscapes.
• Hands‑on experience using JIRA/Confluence for planning, tracking, reporting, and team collaboration.
• Experience coordinating release management and readiness activities for enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles, delivery pipelines, and environment management.
• Experience working in Banking, Wealth, or Brokerage digital solutions is highly preferred.
• Previous hands‑on technical experience (developer, technical lead, or engineering background) is an asset.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, conflict management, and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Ability to operate independently, drive clarity from ambiguity, and influence teams without formal authority.
