About the Opportunity
Our client, a well established national organization within the retail and consumer services sector, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their corporate finance team. This is a high impact role that blends month end reporting with planning and business partnership, giving you visibility across multiple departments and leaders.
You will work closely with a small, collaborative team and senior finance leaders who value mentorship and development. With exposure to both operational finance and corporate governance, you will help deliver accurate reporting while influencing smarter business decisions across the organization.

Your Responsibilities
You’ll lead monthly close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements and schedules
You’ll analyze results, investigate variances, and provide clear commentary and insights to finance leaders
You’ll partner with shared services, global teams, and corporate stakeholders to deliver forecasts, plans, and reporting requirements
You’ll support budgeting and forecasting, and assist with various ad-hoc analysis and requests for special projects
You’ll strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies and governance standards
You’ll contribute to process improvements and system modernization initiatives that enhance efficiency and data quality
Skills and Qualifications
2 to 4+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA designation or actively pursuing
Strong understanding of month end close, reconciliations, and internal controls
Advanced Excel skills with experience in ERP systems, ideally Oracle or shared services environments
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Proactive, detail oriented, and comfortable working in a fast paced, high accountability setting
