Purpose


Contributes to the overall success of the Fraud Prevention, Education and Industry Engagement team in Canada ensuring specific goals, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities conducted are compliant with governing regulations, audit protocols, internal policies and procedures.

 

Accountabilities

 

The Senior Fraud Literacy Coordinator is responsible for driving fraud awareness and prevention for the organization. The main accountabilities include, facilitating both in person and virtual fraud literacy sessions for Scotiabank employees and external clients.  When applicable, the incumbent will also support upskilling and training existing and new GFM employees, through expertise in facilitation and demonstrated knowledge of  fraud operations and mitigation.

 

The incumbent is responsible to deliver key fraud prevention training to both clients and employees,  addressing  key fraud industry knowledge, customer service skills, and policy and process knowledge by:

  • Delivering an engaging learning experience in a professional manner demonstrating key fraud prevention messaging through the application of adult learning principles.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of how to adapt learning delivery for the training environment.
  • Adhering to requirements and standards outlined in fraud operational processes and fraud prevention industry best practices.
  • Delivering up-skill training as required in support of system and process and policy enhancements, and new initiatives.
  • Familiarizing employees with tools and knowledge resources to help them deliver advice and solutions to customers effectively.
  • Performing a variety of administrative functions to manage presentation schedule.
  • Measuring training program success by completing evaluation and analysis activities.
  • Identifying strategic solutions to enhance  overall training and facilitation experiences. 

 


Education / Experience / Other Information 

 

  • Post secondary education.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Understanding of and experience in Adult Education.
  • Excellent ability to take complex ideas and translate them into digestible key messages that resonate with appropriate audiences.
  • Proficiency with M365 suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail in writing, proofreading and verbal communication.
  • Self-planning and multi-tasking skills to schedule, organize and carry out work assignments according to established work plans, adjusting work schedules according to changing priorities.
  • Ability to manage, prioritize and react quickly within a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint, Adobe suite and other tools considered an asset.
  • Fluency in French and Spanish considered an asset
