Purpose:

The Senior Analyst is responsible for contributing to the profitable growth and quality of the Bank’s Private Banking insurance lending portfolio for highly complex and customized financial solutions by collecting, processing and assimilating customer reporting information and supporting the National Director & Group Lead, Structured Solutions,  Private Banking in the preparation of the write-up of credit applications, which may include financial modelling and due diligence. The incumbent will assist the team in providing administrative support and service for client-facing interactions.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
 
Process and Analyze Customer Reporting items by:

  • Maintaining a complete monitoring system(s) to ensure customer reporting is completed in a timely manner;
  • Updating the monitoring system(s) with necessary information to ensure accuracy of the customer reporting requirements (this includes various data such as authorized amount, etc.);
  • Completing the Financial Analysis Worksheet (FAW), Risk Analysis (spreads), and Cash Surrender Value Analysis in an accurate and timely manner as required;
  • Ensuring that all relevant correspondence and authorizations are properly stored in the Shared Document Repository (SDR);
  • Ensuring fees, pricing, IG rating and authorized limited changes are correctly processed/resolving as required and systems as applicable are appropriately updated.

 

  • Providing administrative support to the team, including expense reporting, vacation scheduling, organizing meetings, PBIL Mailbox Management, and naming files as per standard naming convention.
  • Ensuring adherence to the Bank’s Anti-Money Laundering program, Know Your Customer requirements and Guidelines for Business Conduct, by reporting any unusual occurrences or fraudulent activities per established procedures.     
  • COI Management – Responsible for COI Vetting process, including gathering of information, liaising with S&I Team and local Private Bankers, and communication of findings to Director and Senior Manager of team.

 
The Senior Analyst must have excellent administrative and communication skills. Will work on highly complex and customized financial solutions and may have interaction with clients and internal partners by gathering information and responding to internal inquiries. They must have strong organizational skills to manage Salesforce and manage data from various sources. They may work with multiple stakeholders and there may be significant time pressures. Files and information must be kept according to Compliance guidelines.

  • Well organized and ability to multi-task
  • Good excel skills needed to prepare and update Quarterly Reporting, Financial Analysis Worksheets and CSV Analyses.
  • Good PowerPoint Skills to prepare presentation decks
  • Good Moody’s Financial Analysis knowledge
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively interface with customers/internal partners
  • Good knowledge of the Bank’s retail, commercial and private banking products and services
  • Negotiation skills required for internal discussions
  • Customer contact may be required for follow-up on information gathering for new deals, interim/annual reviews and compliance
  • Knowledge of Python, VBA or other programming languages is a nice to have
