Jr. Buyer needed in Barrie! Permanent role, start ASAP! Agilus is recruiting for a Jr. Buyer in the manufacturing sector in Barrie, Ontario. We’re working with our manufacturing client who are looking to add a junior Buyer to their team. This is the perfect role for someone in shipping/receiving looking to take the next step in their career, or someone with 1+ year of experience as a Buyer looking for a new exciting opportunity. What's in it for you: 57K annually Annual bonus Full time onsite in Barrie Benefits package after 3 months RSP matching 2 weeks vacation Room to grow and develop Responsibilities: Inventory Management & Accuracy: Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, system transactions, and database updates; manage Bills of Materials, initial orders, offsite warehouse inventory, and resolve inventory space constraints to ensure material availability for production. Procurement & Supplier Coordination: Issue purchase orders to support production requirements, participate in sourcing activities, coordinate materials for new projects, analyze supplier performance metrics, and follow up with vendors on non-conforming materials. Receiving, Quality & Material Flow: Verify, receive, and inspect incoming materials; participate in quality inspections; manage material movement including loading/unloading trailers, put-away into designated locations, and ensure efficient material flow to support production. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operations Support: Work closely with purchasing receivers, purchasing coordinators, forklift teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate system maintenance, timely material replenishment, and continuous improvement in inventory and material handling processes. Requirements: 1+ year of procurement experience Intermediate to advanced Excel user Experienced with RF Scanners Manufacturing industry experience will be a huge asset Fluency in French will be an asset Shipping/receiving background This posting is for an active opening.
