The Ministry of Primary and Preventative Health Services is building a more resilient and sustainable health care system that can support Albertans getting care when and where they need it, while responding to system-wide health challenges, improving health outcomes, and maintaining fiscal responsibility. The Department of Primary and Preventative Health Services establishes the Government of Alberta’s strategic direction for health, including advising government on health policy, legislation and standards, and public health concerns; monitoring and reporting health system performance; setting policies and priorities for the electronic/digital health environment; and providing oversight and ensuring accountability across the health system.

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Solutions Architect to provide strategic architectural leadership across government and health system initiatives. This role ensures alignment of Information Management/Information Technology solutions with enterprise standards, maximizes return on Information Technology investments, and reduces organizational risk by guiding projects, partners, and stakeholders toward cohesive, reusable, and future-ready architectures.
The Corporate Solutions Architect provides strategic and hands-on technical leadership to support department, government, and health system wide initiatives. This role ensures that information technology solutions are architecturally sound, aligned with business objectives, sustainable, and consistent with Government of Alberta standards and industry best practices.
As a Corporate Solutions Architect, you will work closely with business areas, Information Technology operations, Information Technology management, partner organizations, and vendors to guide initiatives from early concept through delivery, ensuring optimal use of Information Technology investments and reducing technical and delivery risk.

Minimum Recruitment Standards
University graduation in computer science or a related discipline plus four years related experience; or equivalent as described.
Equivalency: A related two-year diploma in computer technology or a related discipline from a recognized postsecondary institution and six years related experience; or a related one-year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and seven years related experience.

Hours of work are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. This is a full-time position working 36.25 hours per week.
