The Role

 

As a member of the GCA team, the Manager, Global Communications – ScotiaTech, supports the development and delivery of internal and external communication plans and tactics for the Bank’s technology business as well as Group Head / EVP executive profiling. Key responsibilities include driving employee engagement and external awareness / communications for the portfolio.

 

Is this role right for you?  

 

  • Work with cross-enterprise teams and departments to help tell the ScotiaTech story and amplify bank-wide messaging
  • Plan and provide logistical support for internal events
  • Manage project communications through internal and external communications channels
  • Source and develop content for various Scotiabank channels: newsroom, social and others
  • Assist in the development and execution of internal and external communication strategies and tactics, including positioning and key message development and coordination with other communication partners to advance strategic priorities and drive stakeholder engagement

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

 

  • Minimum 7 years of communication experience in corporate or agency environment
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and work well independently
  • Strong organizational, event and project management skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proven ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with colleagues across a range of functions
  • An ability to solve problems and navigate complex environments
  • A high degree of flexibility and willingness to take on tasks outside of core responsibilities
  • A commitment to curiosity, and professional and personal growth
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced/deadline-driven environment
  • Skilled in the use of various technology tools, including Microsoft Suite (SharePoint, PPT, MS Word, Excel, Teams), O365, and Adobe Creative Suite
