You are: 

A mandarin-speaking retail transformation expert adept with the deep SAP retail functional knowledge and skills to help clients meet the challenges of digitization. You’re in your element using your know-how to solve clients’ most complex business problems to help their companies do more. You’re as comfortable working in teams and leading projects as you are diving into the details of workstreams and configuring SAP systems. And you’re up for traveling regularly to client sites. 

The work:

The SAP CAR and Master Data Functional Lead is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and delivery of SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR) and SAP Master Data solutions within a retail SAP S/4HANA landscape. This role serves as the functional authority for CAR and master data, ensuring data integrity, cross‑process integration, and alignment with SAP retail best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end‑ SAP CAR solution design and delivery, including:

    • POS data transfer and audit

    • Sales, inventory, and customer activity data integration

  • Own SAP Master Data functional leadership, including:

    • Product / Article Master

    • Site / Store Master

    • Merchandise Hierarchies and assortments

    • Business Partner (Customer and Supplier) via MDG

  • Drive integration between SAP CAR, SAP S/4HANA Retail, and Master Data Governance (MDG) to ensure accurate and reliable data flow

  • Lead functional design, configuration review, testing cycles (SIT, UAT), cutover, and go‑live readiness

  • Facilitate confirmation cycles, Fit‑to‑Standard, and design workshops with business and technical stakeholders

  • Provide leadership to onshore and offshore delivery teams within a global delivery model

  • Act as a trusted advisor to client leadership on SAP Retail and CAR architectural decisions
