Agilus is recruiting for a HVAC Purchaser in the Construction industry in Sharon, Ontario. The HVAC Purchaser is responsible for the day-to-day purchasing of HVAC fixtures, equipment, pipe, valves, fittings, and plumbing line materials in support of project and operational requirements. This role focuses on executing procurement activities efficiently, ensuring cost control, supplier compliance, and on-time delivery while following established procurement processes Total rewards: $90000.00 - $110000.00 annually Attractive benefits Rich training and development environment Great career opportunities Responsibilities: Purchase HVAC fixtures, equipment, pipe, valves, fittings, and plumbing line materials in accordance with project schedules and procurement procedures Issue RFQs, review supplier quotes, and prepare purchase orders based on approved scopes, drawings, and specifications Processes internal purchase orders for miscellaneous project and company related purchase Perform detailed quote and bid comparisons to ensure pricing accuracy, scope compliance, and material suitability Coordinate closely with VP Procurement and Production, Project Management, Engineering, and Field teams to confirm material requirements, quantities, and delivery timelines Track purchase orders from placement through delivery and resolve issues related to pricing, lead times, shortages, substitutions, or discrepancies Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and supplier files within the Supply Chain Management system and ensure suppliers meet qualification, accreditation, and compliance requirements Monitor supplier performance related to delivery, quality, and responsiveness, and escalate issues as required and assist with cost tracking, savings documentation, and routine procurement reporting Successful candidates will have: HVAC/Mechanical industry/related background, Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent industry experience Experience in plumbing purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations Strong knowledge of plumbing fixtures, pipe materials, valves, fittings, and plumbing systems Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings, schedules, and specifications Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple purchase orders simultaneously Effective verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office This posting is for an active opening.
