Agilus is recruiting for a Solution Architect in the Utilities in a hybrid work environment in Calgary, Alberta. e client is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join their Enterprise Architecture team. This is a strategic and design-focused role responsible for translating business needs into secure, scalable, and supportable solution architectures across a hybrid cloud environment. This role is not hands-on engineering, operations, or technical implementation. The Solution Architect provides architectural leadership, modeling, and high-level design, while delivery teams and vendors execute the build. A typical day: Logical & physical architecture models Define end-to-end architecture across applications, integrations, identity, network, and cloud Documenting DR capabilities, dependencies, RTO/RPO expectations, and required platform support Support ARB (Architecture Review Board) decisions and governance Review detailed designs produced by Engineering and vendors Successful candidates will have: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience 6+ years of progressive experience in solution design, engineering, or architecture Relevant certifications (Azure Architect Expert, AWS Pro Architect, TOGAF) considered assets Strong understanding of architectural frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.) Total rewards: $110.00 - $120.00 hourly Year long contract with possibility of extension Work with one of Canadas most prestigious employers.
