Contributes to the overall success of the Service Assets and Configuration Management / GTS in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

 

Is this role right for you?
• Design, develop, and configure custom ServiceNow applications, workflows, and services.
• Develop and modify elements like business rules, forms, UI pages, and integrations.
• Configure schedules & behaviors, and develop\maintain patterns, probes, sensors in the Discovery tool.
• Support the troubleshooting of IRE & CMDB issues.
• Build integrations with other enterprise systems using technologies like REST and SOAP web services.
• Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for the ServiceNow platform.
• Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing to ensure solution quality.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for processes, configurations, and solutions.
• Work with IT and business units to gather requirements and align solutions with organizational goals.
• Liaise with stakeholders to plan, monitor and report on progress for remediation activities.
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
• 3-5 years of System Administration or development experience with ServiceNow
• Certified ServiceNow System Administrator certification or training
• Completed ServiceNow Discovery Fundamentals or Certified Implementation specialist in ServiceNow Discovery
• ITIL Foundation certification or Training
• University and/or College in Computer Science or related disciplines.
• Experience with System Development Life Cycle and Test methodology.
• Ability to do research and development of new ways to leverage the ServiceNow Platform.
• Experience with integrations (Service Graph Connectors, Integration Hub, REST, JDBC, Password Vaults)
• Strong analytical skills to review Discovery patterns and payloads; manage subnets, monitor discovery schedules, maintain discovery schedules and dates.
• Strong knowledge and experience working with the ServiceNow CMDB
• Strong understanding of networking and infrastructure.
• Multilingual (English/French/Spanish) is a plus.
