We are seeking a highly skilled Delivery Lead with technical expertise in Java development and data-driven solutions to lead the successful delivery of complex technology initiatives. This role combines leadership with hands-on technical involvement, ensuring that projects meet business objectives while maintaining high engineering standards.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

 

  • End-to-End Delivery: Own the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on guidance in Java-based application development, data integration, and API design to support project goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on priorities.
  • Agile Delivery: Drive agile practices (Scrum/Kanban), ensuring iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify technical and delivery risks early, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure timely resolution.
  • CI/CD Integration: Oversee integration of automated builds, tests, and deployments using tools like Jenkins, Maven, and Git.
  • Mentorship: Coach and mentor team members on best practices in Java development, data engineering, and agile delivery.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years in technology delivery, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven hands-on experience in Java development and data engineering.
  • Proficient in Java, object-oriented design, and frameworks such as Spring Boot.
  • Strong understanding of data technologies (SQL, ETL processes, data modeling).
  • Experience with API development, microservices architecture, and integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) or data streaming (Kafka).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of performance tuning for Java applications and databases.
  • Preferred Qualifications:Certifications in Agile (Scrum Master, SAFe) or Project Management (PMP).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
