Agilus is recruiting for an Account Manager - Engineering & Technical in the Staffing Services Sector in a hybrid work environment in Calgary, Alberta. As an Account Manager, you will drive new business growth within the engineering and technical markets by identifying opportunities, opening doors, and building client relationships from the ground up. This role is built for a true hunter who is energized by prospecting, competitive technical labour markets, and closing deals. You’ll leverage staffing industry expertise to deliver high-impact workforce solutions and expand market share. Total compensation: Compensation model is base salary plus commission including contest bonus Hybrid work model to support flexibility Robust benefits program including health and personal spending accounts Employee Share Ownership Program (ESOP) – eligibility after one year Personalized Mental Health Support Program 8 wellness days in addition to vacation Paid time off to volunteer and give back to your community Professional development programs including leadership training and personalized learning programs How you will make an impact: Drive new business development by identifying prospects, building pipelines, and expanding existing client relationships within assigned markets Develop a deep understanding of client businesses, workforce challenges, and hiring needs to deliver consultative staffing solutions Manage the full order-to-fill and client fulfillment process, ensuring timely delivery of qualified contract and permanent candidates Own contract management responsibilities, including pricing, margin management, negotiations, and compliance with company and industry standards Partner closely with recruitment teams to align candidate sourcing strategies with client expectations and service commitments Deliver an exceptional client experience through proactive communication, issue resolution, and consistent follow-through Successful candidates will have: Experience in business development, account management, or sales within a staffing agency or professional services environment Demonstrated success selling or supporting engineering and technical staffing solutions, including contract and permanent placements Strong understanding of engineering and technical labour markets, role requirements, and the client demands that drive hiring decisions Confidence engaging with technical leaders and decision-makers to assess needs, present solutions, and win new business Ability to partner closely with recruitment teams to deliver qualified engineering and technical talent against client expectations High accountability, persistence, and drive, with the resilience to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, client-driven environment This posting is for an active opening.
