About the Opportunity

Our client, a respected organization within the healthcare and broader public services space, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support their finance operations. Reporting to the Manager of Finance, this role plays a critical part in ensuring vendors are paid accurately, on time, and with care. Your work directly supports operational continuity and strong external partnerships.

You will collaborate closely with Finance, Procurement, and internal leaders, acting as a trusted point of contact for payment inquiries and reconciliations. Your Responsibilities

• You’ll manage the full accounts payable cycle, processing manual and PO invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.
• In this role, you’ll review employee expenses and credit card reconciliations to ensure compliance with internal policies.
• You’ll coordinate weekly EFT payment runs and prepare ad hoc cheque payments as needed.
• You’ll maintain organized electronic vendor files and support strong vendor relationships through timely follow-up.
• You’ll assist with month-end close, reporting, accruals, and audit documentation.
• You’ll respond to internal and external inquiries, collaborating with Procurement and Finance to resolve discrepancies.

 

Skills and Qualifications

• 1–3 years of progressive experience in accounts payable or finance operations.
• Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, numeracy, and multi-currency processing.
• Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel, experience with Meditech is an asset.
• Excellent organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• A collaborative mindset with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
