Salary: From 20.00 to 24.00 per Hour
 

Location: Westboro, Ottawa, ON (On-site, 5 days per week)
Language: English required, strong written and verbal communication
Duration: Short-term (4 days to start, possible extension or call-back)
Start Date: January 27, 2026
Hours of Work: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday
Background Check Requirement: Criminal check and references required
Dress Code: Business casual, no jeans

About the Opportunity

This position provides a welcoming and professional experience for every visitor, candidate, and employee, supporting the office with everything from front-desk reception to light administrative duties. You’ll play a key role in keeping the office running smoothly and ensuring daily operations are seamless.

As the first point of contact for guests and staff, you’ll be part of a friendly, supportive environment where your organizational skills and professional presence make a real difference. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being welcoming, highly organized, and able to work independently.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll manage the front desk, greeting guests, checking in candidates for interviews, and answering doors for deliveries.
  • You’ll assist with kitchen and catering responsibilities, including stocking supplies and completing expense reports.
  • You’ll help with basic onboarding tasks, such as shipping equipment or event supplies for new employees.
  • You’ll support internal communications by helping with emails and light administrative work when needed.
  • You’ll coordinate shipments, deliveries, and general office maintenance to ensure a smooth workplace experience.
  • You’ll assist with on-site events and provide additional administrative support to internal teams as required.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in administrative support, reception, or customer-facing roles.
  • Excellent communication skills; personable, professional, and welcoming.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
