As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and adjusting employee schedules to meet operational requirements while ensuring compliance with company policies. You will work closely with supervisors, management, and frontline staff in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities for Scheduler

Plan, assign, and maintain security officer schedules to ensure all posts are fully staffed and compliant with client contracts, labor laws, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

    • Create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly security officer schedules

    • Respond to call-offs and arrange last-minute coverage to maintain full staffing

    • Coordinate overtime, vacation, and leave requests

    • Communicate schedules and schedule changes to officers and supervisors

    • Ensure compliance with labor laws, collective agreements, contracts, and site requirements

    • Track attendance, timekeeping, and payroll-related inputs

    • Utilize scheduling tools and systems (e.g., When I Work, Excel, or similar software)

    • Liaise with clients, supervisors, and operations managers regarding coverage needs

Qualifications for Scheduler

  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Experience in security industry operations (24/7 environments preferred)

  • Managing schedules for 50–300+ officers

  • Knowledge of overtime rules, labor standards, and compliance requirements

  • Valid Driver's License with Clean Driver Abstract

  • A valid Criminal Record Check (CRC), not older than 6 months, is required

  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays based on operational needs
