Our hospital supports specialty services, including surgery, rehabilitation & pain management, internal medicine, and behavior, alongside a bustling general practice and a active emergency service. Our 16,500 sq. ft., purpose-built facility includes eight exam rooms, four ORs, Sound SmartDR+CsI hands:
Key Responsibilities
Provide emergency veterinary services independently, supported by a team of veterinary assistants and technicians, primarily for Sunday shifts, with availability for additional shifts as needed
Assess, diagnose, and treat multiple cases throughout a full-day shift, typically managing between 5 and 11 cases
Lead and collaborate effectively with the support team across a variety of cases
Maintain thorough and accurate medical records
Monitor and provide ongoing care for hospitalized patients
Communicate veterinary information and patient updates to pet owners with clarity and compassion.
Qualifications
Fully licensed to practice in British Columbia or eligible for licensure
Minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in an emergency setting, or equivalent emergency experience gained during a veterinary training program
Demonstrated confidence and competence in independently managing emergency cases
Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Schedule:
Sunday shift, plus additional days and vacation coverage
We are offering flexible hours, however Sunday is our primary requirement
