As the Labour Relations Specialist, you will be a trusted advisor to leaders and HR partners, supporting fair, consistent, and compassionate labour practices in a complex, unionized environment.
You will work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals and people leaders who are deeply committed to delivering care and making a difference. Your guidance will help strengthen relationships, resolve challenges, and ensure every decision reflects organizational values, legislation, and collective agreements.

You will gain exposure to complex labour environments, sharpen your strategic advisory skills, and be supported by leaders who value partnership, transparency, and continuous learning.
Coach and advise leaders on complex labour relations matters including discipline, investigations, performance, attendance, and terminations.
Interpret and apply multiple collective agreements, policies, and legislative requirements.
Lead grievance resolution, from early intervention through mediation, arbitration, and data-driven trend analysis.
Ensure organizational compliance by monitoring legislation, updating policies, and preparing reports.
Support collective bargaining preparation, mandate development, and agreement implementation.
Build trusted relationships with union partners, leaders, and employees to promote collaboration and positive workplace culture.
3 to 5 years of progressive labour relations experience in a unionized environment
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, Master’s in Industrial Relations preferred
CHRL designation preferred
Strong knowledge of Ontario employment and labour legislation
Proven negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to influence, build trust, and engage stakeholders at all levels
