Join a pioneering team shaping the future of Canadian Retail Credit Strategies.

We’re building next-generation, end-to-end credit solutions that span the entire lifecycle—from acquisition and account management to collections—anchored in a holistic Lending Decision Strategy and aligned with Canadian Personal & Business Banking (P&BB) priorities.

Our approach combines cutting-edge decisioning software, advanced decision trees, and innovative credit models to deliver smarter, faster, and more customer-centric outcomes. This is your opportunity to influence credit cycles using modern modeling techniques and best-in-class decisioning applications, all within a high-performance, customer-focused environment.

If you’re passionate about leveraging data, technology, and strategy to transform lending decisions and drive meaningful impact across Canadian P&BB, this is the team for you.

The Senior Analyst, Business Banking Lending Acquisition supports the design, refinement, and execution of credit acquisition strategies across Business Banking lending products. This role blends analytical capability, credit‑risk understanding, and hands‑on execution to help drive high‑quality credit growth, improve adjudication consistency, and enhance the performance of acquisition funnels.

Working collaboratively with Product, Credit Risk, Adjudication, Analytics, Technology, and Distribution teams, the Senior Analyst helps develop scalable acquisition strategies that are data‑driven, well‑governed, and aligned to Business Banking’s growth aspirations and risk appetite. Responsibilities include supporting decision logic development, structured testing, reporting, and ongoing optimization across digital, branch, and advisor‑led channels.

Key Responsibilities

Acquisition Strategy Support & Optimization

  • Support the development and refinement of end‑to‑end acquisition strategies across Business Banking lending channels.

  • Assist with enhancements to segmentation, decisioning logic, adjudication pathways, routing rules, and referral structures in decision engines and rule‑based platforms.

  • Ensure strategy changes support objectives related to growth, profitability, client experience, and credit‑risk appetite.

Adjudication Strategy Execution

  • Support the calibration and implementation of adjudication strategies across digital, branch/advisor, centralized underwriting, and specialized credit teams.

  • Help ensure adjudication logic balances efficiency, decision quality, and risk integrity, while supporting channel‑specific needs.

Model Use & Risk Signal Integration

  • Integrate risk models, credit scores, behavioural indicators, and analytical signals into acquisition decision pathways.

  • Assist in interpreting model outputs and validating alignment with model‑governance requirements.

Analytical Insights & Funnel Performance Monitoring

  • Conduct analysis to identify opportunities to improve funnel performance, including approval rates, refer/decline patterns, booking quality, and early‑life risk.

  • Provide insights into client behaviour, product mix shifts, and emerging trends that inform strategy optimization.

Champion–Challenger Testing

  • Support the design and execution of structured test‑and‑learn experiments across new acquisition treatments, adjudication rules, and segmentation pathways.

  • Track test outcomes and contribute recommendations for scaling effective strategies.

Technology, Deployment & Execution Partnership

  • Translate acquisition strategy logic into deployable decision rules, partnering with Technology, Analytics, and Underwriting.

  • Participate in UAT, system validation, and change‑management routines to ensure strategy changes are accurate and operationally sound.

  • Maintain documentation for rulesets, logic changes, and deployment requirements.

Governance, Policy & Regulatory Alignment

  • Ensure acquisition strategies comply with credit policy, regulatory standards, adjudication expectations, and model‑governance requirements.

  • Support governance processes such as documentation, validation, audit responses, and control assessments.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with Product, Risk, Adjudication, Distribution, Operations, and Analytics partners.

  • Provide clear analytical summaries and recommendations that support strategy decisions and partner alignment.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in Business Banking lending, credit strategy, adjudication, credit risk, or analytics.

  • Strong foundational understanding of business credit risk, financial analysis, and small‑business lending fundamentals.

  • Experience interpreting credit risk models, behavioural indicators, financial ratios, and segmentation tools.

  • Familiarity with decision engines, rule‑based systems, or decision‑tree platforms (e.g., FICO, SAS, ML scoring tools).

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional partners.

Preferred

  • Experience with funnel analytics, MIS/reporting, or production decisioning platforms.

  • Familiarity with model governance, adjudication standards, and regulatory considerations in Business Banking.
