JOB SUMMARY

This job is exclusively for Coop Students who are enrolled in a recognized post-secondary co-operative education program.

The mandate of Information Technology Services is to create business value by providing innovative and strategic technology solutions for the business operations of the City of Ottawa.

This role is focused on developing Business Intelligence & analytics reports using PowerBI, data visualizations, including data modeling and transformations and working on AI/ML use cases. You will also work closely in cooperation with our clients to build ETL data pipelines to serve up the right data, in the right format to create business insights.  
You are responsible for assisting with assigned information technology solutions, projects, programs and/or services. You may work in various disciplines and functions within the Information Technology environment, such as desktop support, applications, planning, business analysis, project co-ordination, software development and technology architecture support. At the City, the work atmosphere is an open, fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Enrolment in a recognized post-secondary co-operative program in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or related field
