Accounts Receivable and Collections Clerk

Location: Ontario, On-site

About the Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a fast-moving organization in the transportation and freight sector where accuracy, follow-through, and relationship-building truly matter. As an Accounts Receivable and Collections Clerk, you will play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow while supporting multiple business entities within a high-volume environment.

You will work closely with finance colleagues, operations teams, and external customers, becoming a trusted point of contact for resolving invoice issues and ensuring timely payment. Your Responsibilities

  • You will manage high-volume collection activities by phone and email, supporting over 200 customers across four companies.
  • You will investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, disputes, and short payments with accuracy and professionalism.
  • You will review third-party audit and payment platforms such as CASS, DTA, Nulogx, and NTS to confirm payment status.
  • You will process credit card payments and distribute invoices through email, mail, and digital upload systems.
  • You will support accounting administration tasks as needed, contributing to smooth day-to-day finance operations.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Transportation or freight industry experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in accounts receivable and collections.
  • Strong proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word in a business environment.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with proven problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • College diploma required, an Accounting diploma is considered an asset.
  • Experience with LTL400 considered an asset.
