About the Opportunity

This role is posted for proactive sourcing purposes only. Compensation will be determined at a later date once the client's requirements are finalized. We are actively building our talent network and creating a pool of qualified candidates for upcoming public sector opportunities.

As needs arise you would have the unique opportunity to contribute to complex, high-impact projects that support Canada’s national defence and aviation capabilities. As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll play a critical role in delivering large-scale initiatives that intersect military operations, aviation programs, and infrastructure development.

Working within a public sector environment, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, senior leaders, and technical experts to ensure projects are delivered with precision, accountability, and foresight. Your work will directly support decision-making at the Director, Director General, ADM, and CFO level, making your contributions both visible and meaningful.

What’s in it for You

There is the potential to be part of a professional environment that values expertise, trust, and collaboration. This role could offer exposure to highly specialized aviation and defence projects, along with the flexibility of a remote work model. It would be a chance to apply your leadership in a setting that values structure, rigor, and long-term impact.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll lead the planning and implementation of large-scale, high budget projects spanning military, aviation, and infrastructure components.

  • In this role, you may be responsible to manage and develop comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and governance materials.

  • You’ll oversee risk mitigation strategies and ensure alignment with airworthiness and maintenance policies.

  • You’ll prepare and present clear project status and progress reports to senior management.

  • You’ll collaborate with aircraft maintenance and/or flight test organizations to support technically complex initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive project management experience in complex technical environments.

  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in a technical discipline such as engineering, aviation, science or other relevant discipline.

  • A valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI or an equivalent designation.

  • Experience within aircraft maintenance organizations and/or flight test environments would be considered an asset.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, multi-stakeholder projects and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
