We are seeking a highly skilled Developer with strong experience in Java, ETL development (with IBM DataStage), Oracle SQL, and general OS/scripting knowledge. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, build, and optimize data pipelines, integrations, and application components. Exposure to Power BI is an asset.

 

In this role you will: 

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and related frameworks.
  • Build, enhance, and troubleshoot ETL workflows using IBM DataStage.
  • Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for Oracle databases.
  • Develop automation scripts using Shell / Python / Batch or similar languages.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize applications across Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
  • Collaborate with platform engineering, data, and business teams to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and production support activities.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC, security, and compliance standards.
  • Produce technical documentation and support deployment activities.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? 
 

  • Hands‑on development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Java (JDK 8+), OOP concepts, and REST APIs.
  • Experience with IBM DataStage for ETL design and development.
  • Solid understanding of Oracle database concepts, performance tuning, and SQL optimization.
  • Good OS-level knowledge: Linux/Unix, file systems, processes, scheduling, and permissions.
  • Scripting experience (e.g., Shell, Python, Perl, or Batch).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, etc.) is an asset.
  • Familiarity with enterprise logging, monitoring, and job scheduling (Autosys or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills, problem‑solving capabilities, and attention to detail.
  • Experience building dashboards or data models in Power BI.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft/EBS/OFSAA ecosystems.
  • Understanding of financial systems, metadata, and regulatory data flows.
