The Procurement Specialist will focus on expediting the issuance of Purchase Orders and follow-up. Total rewards: $45.00 - $50.00 hourly 12 - month contract position Location: Edmonton Monday to Friday in Office - 7:30 to 4 or 8am to 4:30pm Pay rate based on experience Great opportunity to learn and work in a dynamic and supportive work environment A typical day: Prepare, issue and track Purchase Orders (POs) Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, monitor supplier performance Monitor delivery vs need-by dates. Conduct vendor check-ins, were orders shipped. Work closely with Inventory Management, Operations, Engineering, and other departments Maintain accurate procurement records, ensure compliance with policies and trade agreements, and prepare reports Understands the marketplace to ensure long deliveries and price increases are kept at a minimum. Successful candidates will have: 3 to 5 years of proven experience in procurement, inventory management, purchasing, or supply chain roles Excellent interpersonal, and strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with Oracle Fusion Cloud is a requirement as this will be a daily focus Knowledge of contract management and inventory principles Excellent organizational, time management and multitasking skills.
