This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of people, learning, and impact—someone who wants their work to contribute to meaningful cultural change.

You’ll collaborate with passionate internal teams and respected external partners to deliver engaging programming, educational content, and events that celebrate the communities represented within the organization. Expect professional growth in an environment that champions continuous learning and celebrates diverse perspectives. This is a chance to not only enhance your coordination and communication skills but to help shape a culture where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll coordinate and support the delivery of programs and activities that promote DEI and Indigenous Equity awareness across the organization.
  • You’ll identify and recommend annual dates of cultural and Indigenous significance to build awareness and engagement.
  • You’ll support the Director with research, and help develop and curate educational content, including sourcing and coordinating guest speakers.
  • You’ll plan, organize, and deliver events and training in collaboration with internal teams and external partners, ensuring seamless execution.
  • You’ll serve as the primary liaison with the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI), managing communications, materials, and logistics.
  • You’ll provide administrative support to the Equity Leadership Program, including invoice processing, document management, and progress tracking.
  • You’ll monitor and report on DEI and Indigenous Equity initiatives, maintaining the annual workplan and updating the Risk Register as required.
  • You'll help to coordinate and facilitate internal training sessions for team members.

  • 3+ years of related administrative experience supporting DEI, HR, or program coordination within a complex organization
  • Completion of a college-level post-secondary program required
  • Strong research, coordination, and event planning skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and reconciliation
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
