The Canadian Banking Release and Change Management team is committed to ensuring delivery of complex business solutions for the Canadian Banking Business Line in support of the Bank’s strategic objectives. The Team oversees application releases across the Engineering teams to manage the overall risk while adhering to Enterprise Release and Change management controls and policies.  The reach and opportunity of this Team extends to working with projects at a Global scale and meets the passion and drive of experiencing new initiatives each time. Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Release & Test Environment Management, you are part of a team that manages the risk of product delivery for all IT changes while ensuring the Canadian Banking Release & Change Management policies and processes are adhered to. The incumbent will support the Release Management transformation mandate and be responsible for the following:  
•    Support and evolve the Release and Change Management operating model 
•    Perform Release and Change planning and Risk Mitigation reviews activities 
•    Participates in operational readiness review of changes. 
•    Ensures observability, rollback, and incident response plans are in place. 
•    Design, develop, and maintain Business Intelligence solutions  
•    Streamline and automate reporting solutions  
•    Independently investigate ad-hoc issues, propose different options, and drive issue resolution 
•    Create data improvement strategies & framework 
•    Ensure Release/Project teams meet the quality gates to ascertain Release and Change readiness 
•    Recognize potential issues and establish solutions 
•    Collaborates with Change Champion on high-risk or cross-tower changes. 
•    Responsible for overseeing internal releases and changes within a specific Line of Business, ensuring thorough planning, coordination and conflict-free scheduling.

•    Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. 
•    Lead and drive continuous improvements towards Enterprise and industry standardization in Release and Change management processes 
•    Innovate to raise the bar on release management competencies through automation, modern technology and best practices 
•    Provide leadership in working collaboratively with our stakeholders and constituents to plan & co-ordinate application release lifecycle, manage risks, measure and monitor release progress.  Responsible for ensuring that resources, timelines and the overall quality of the process are considered.   
•    Build and maintain strong, trusted working relationships within IT&S to evolve the release management discipline and competency.  Adopt and implement modern approaches that support agile software development release cadence.  
•    Provide SME support to stakeholders to investigate and resolve complex problems and conflicts impacting releases and changes.  Work closely with the other Release Management, Test Environment, Development and Quality Assurance teams.  
•    Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. 
•    Champion a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.  
•    Provides executive visibility into change risk posture for specific Lines Of Business.
