Salary: 29.51 per Hour
 

Location: Ottawa, ON - 3 days per week on site, 2 days from home.
Language: Fluency in English required
Background Check Requirement: Yes, a background check is required.
Pay Rate:  $29.51/hour.
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (35 hours paid)
Contract: Starting ASAP - End of March (potential extension)

Your Responsibilities

  • You will lead training sessions for staff and fellows, guiding them in using the online booking tool effectively and providing support as needed.
  • In this role, you will oversee the coordination of new domestic and trans-border travel reservations with our travel partner.
  • You will manage changes to existing travel bookings, including itinerary modifications and name changes.
  • You will be the go-to person for inquiries from travelers and travel agents, ensuring that all profiles are up-to-date.
  • In this position, you will provide on-site support, engaging with travelers and promoting the travel program’s benefits.
  • You will analyze traveler feedback to continuously enhance the travel program’s effectiveness.
  • You will communicate travel industry regulations and policies to staff, ensuring compliance and understanding.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years of experience in the travel industry.
  • A college degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English; French is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of travel policies, industry regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with MS Teams, Outlook, and ticketing systems.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage various tasks effectively.
