As a Senior Business Analyst, you will have Salesforce knowledge and will be the liaison between the business stakeholders and the technology development teams, responsible for ensuring the business requirements and vision are clearly documented and communicated. As an emerging leader within the team, you will be leveraging project experience to analyze and understand business needs and provide clear and constant communication among various business stakeholder groups. You will work closely with the project team to provide support in delivery of enhancements and incident resolution, with the business needs in mind. You will provide a very high level of professional service to various stakeholders (both internal and external) consistent with Scotiabank's core values and is expected to act as a positive agent of change within the organization

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

 

  • Ensure that requirements are clearly, accurately and thoroughly documented and understood for both system changes and/or process changes and that there is value and consistency added to the user experience.  Experience must include both Agile and Waterfall.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements and manage their expectations
  • Manage timely communications to business stakeholders and conduct training and development programs to support user learning and adoption of new enhancements to Salesforce
  • Prepare and execute test cases as part of functional and end-to-end testing leveraging general and salesforce specific best practices.
  • Monitor, evaluate training activities, program effectiveness and KPIs to ensure success of the change initiatives
  • Develop a strong knowledge of the product backlog and work closely within a project team, ensuring business requirements are translated into the right digital technology products.
  • Support the project team on overcoming roadblocks and ensure there is minimal impact on business processes
  • Manage timely and accurate delivery of tasks for assigned projects through all stages of the project life cycle from concept to implementation.  E.g., track tasks, map process flows, document requirements/stories, testing, liaise with Business, Development and Vendors, communication plan execution, etc., ensuring that key stakeholders are kept informed of all unresolved issues, other areas of concern and any other deviations from project timelines
  • Provide support/guidance with test validations, implementation, and manages transitioning the change to a steady state maintenance function
  • Deliver on various artifacts to meet Scotiabank’s Enterprise Delivery Framework in a timely manner in order to initiate project and receive funding (e.g., assist in creation of Business Cases and cost/benefit analysis to ensure quantitative and qualitative benefits are achieved)

 

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • Demonstrate effective leadership skills, including the ability to assume end-to-end ownership on behalf of the Product Owner during project execution, knowing when to assume responsibility for the related project deliverables, or seek approval
  • Experience with both functional and non-functional testing specifically on Salesforce platform
  • Demonstrate ability to prepare testing related documents such as test plans, test cases, traceability matrix, test data spreadsheets, test execution reports etc.
  • Knowledge of various training methodologies and ability to tailor it depending on the needs of the business groups
  • Strong verbal and business writing skills:  with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels in the organization in a cross-functional environment
  • Skilled in the project lifecycle, its various methodologies and expected outputs.
  • Analytical and a strong problem solver with the drive to push the solution and progress
  • Demonstrated experience with working with a technology product from end to end, all the way through to delivery
  • You have experience working with the Agile process and principals 
  • CBAP or other BA Certification is preferred
  • Banking domain experience is preferred
  • University degree in Business Administration, or equivalent degree designation is preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience in a financial services industry, preferably back-office environment
  • Experience with Salesforce along with 1-2 Salesforce certification is preferred
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, MS Visio and JIRA/Confluence
