We are seeking a versatile and detail oriented Software Developer / Systems Analyst to support and enhance our asset management technology stack. This role blends hands on development, system maintenance, workflow automation, and cross team collaboration. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple technologies, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and thrives in an agile environment.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

 

  • Database Development & Reporting
    • Develop, maintain, and optimize MSSQL databases, including complex stored procedures, functions, and queries.
    • Debug and troubleshoot SQL code to ensure performance, accuracy, and reliability.
    • Build and maintain SSRS reports, dashboards, and data extracts for business stakeholders.
  • Application & Scripting Development
    • Develop automation scripts and tools using PowerShell, Python, and C#.
    • Implement task automation and job scheduling using AutoSys.
    • Contribute to internal applications and integration tools supporting operational workflows.

 

  • Asset Management Systems
    • Install, configure, and maintain asset management software, with a strong preference for experience in Advent APX.
    • Support system upgrades, patches, and environment migrations.
    • Collaborate with business users to troubleshoot issues and enhance system functionality.
  • Agile Collaboration & Documentation
    • Work within an Agile/Scrum framework, participating in sprint planning, stand ups, and retrospectives.
    • Use JIRA and Confluence to manage tasks, track progress, and maintain documentation.
    • Produce clear, thorough documentation for development work, workflows, system configurations, and operational procedures.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

 

  • Strong proficiency in MSSQL, including stored procedure development and debugging.
  • Hands on experience with SSRS report development.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, C#, and Python for automation and tooling.
  • Experience with AutoSys job scheduling and automation.
  • Background in asset management systems, ideally Advent APX (installation, configuration, maintenance).
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to producing high quality documentation.
