About the Opportunity
Our client, a distinguished wealth management firm with over $1 billion in assets under management, is entering a phase of significant transformation and growth. To support this expansion, they are seeking a seasoned industry professional to step into the pivotal role of Wealth Operations Manager.
This is a unique opportunity to transition from the day-to-day grind of trading into a strategic leadership seat. You will oversee the operational pulse of the wealth department, bringing structure to a growing team and ensuring the firm’s processes scale effectively. You will work directly with senior leadership to shape the future of the department without the bureaucratic silos often found in major banks.
What’s in it for You
Join a collaborative culture that values agility and expertise. This role offers the chance to lead a high-performing team while directly influencing the firm's operational strategy. With a competitive compensation package (salary circa $160k+), a fully discretionary bonus, and a clear path for succession planning, this is a career-defining move for a leader ready to make an impact.
Your Responsibilities
You’ll lead and mentor a team of five, including Portfolio Managers and Traders, handling everything from performance reviews to professional development.
In this role, you’ll oversee the daily operations of the wealth department, ensuring seamless trade approvals and portfolio administration.
You’ll act as the primary compliance lead, ensuring the firm remains audit-ready and aligned with OSC regulations regarding trade reviews.
You’ll drive operational excellence by analyzing current workflows and implementing new structures to support the firm's rapid growth.
Skills and Qualifications
5+ years of progressive experience in wealth management operations or portfolio management.
Must hold or be immediately eligible for registration with the OSC as an Advising Representative (CFA designation is highly preferred).
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage performance, conduct reviews, and mentor senior staff.
Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, fund accounting, and regulatory compliance requirements.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally rather than in a silo.
Note from the Hiring Manager
"We aren't looking for someone to just execute trades; we need a strategic partner who understands the industry but wants to focus on the managerial piece. If you are ready to bring structure to a growing department and guide a talented team, we want to meet you."
