Scotiabank, a leading global financial institution committed to empowering its customers and communities, is seeking a Manager, Strategic Solutions to join its Human Resources team. Reporting to the Director, HR Strategic Solutions, you will ensure specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives, requiring solid business acumen, discretion, and confidentiality. Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

As a Manager, HR Strategic Solutions, you will support the implementation and delivery of Human Resources strategic team projects, activities, and initiatives by: 

  • Collaborating with multiple teams and functions across the organization to achieve strategic goals through agility, speed and collaboration. 

  • Assisting in defining problems and championing a user-centric approach to develop and implement innovative HR solutions. 

  • Facilitating agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives) to enable team alignment, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 

  • Monitoring team progress and removing obstacles to ensure timely delivery of strategic HR initiatives while promoting a culture of psychological safety and iteration.  

  • Guiding the team in adopting agile ways of working, helping establish rhythm, structure, and clarity in workflows 

  • Researching and sharing industry trends and emerging practices related to HR, agile product delivery, human-centered design, data and analytics, and generative AI. 

  • Gathering and examining data to spot trends and patterns for informed decision-making. 

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency. 

  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for HR leadership, providing insights into HR metrics and trends. 

  • Working closely with HR team and key partners to understand their needs and provide solutions. 

  • Conducting research on best practices and industry trends. 

  • Helping prepare and manage project documents for various meetings. 

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:  

  • A degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or similar. 

  • Familiarity with HR administration, processes, and current trends. 

  • Practice in applying agile methodologies and human-centered design principles to drive innovation, foster collaboration and optimize pace.  

  • Skilled in data analysis tools (like Excel, SQL), HR systems (like SAP), and MS Office Suite. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities (in MS PowerPoint). 

  • Detail-focused, problem-solving mindset with strong interpersonal and internal support skills. 

  • Ability to handle pressure, adapt to shifting priorities, and meet tight deadlines. 

  • Quick and effective problem resolution skills, handling sensitive issues fairly. 

  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively. 

  • Knowledge of HR processes and policies. 

  • Familiarity with agile methodology is advantageous.
