Agilus is recruiting for a Project Engineer in the oil & gas industry in Sarnia, Ontario. The Project Engineer will perform engineering design evaluations and work to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. Review industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance. Review reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems. Provides technical support for the engineering process. Total rewards: $90.00 - $100.00 hourly 1 year contract - opportunity for extension Preferred rates for benefit coverage available A typical day: Participates in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation and contractor selection Participates in identification & sourcing long lead equipment, assuring Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contractor support until equipment is assigned to the contractor Engages Project Team and functional resources to verify that the design & construction is consistent with project specifications & standards Interface between Project Team & Contractor Ensures smooth transitions between project stages Field execution, coordinating with construction and contractors on site – mechanical, civil & electrical. Ensure contractors progression on time and schedule Successful candidates will have: 10 - 15 years of experience in Project Engineering / Management Field, Construction, Execution experience Excellent communication skills & ability to read, write & speak fluent English Oil & gas project experience Must be able and willing to climb ladders and stairs on site / in the field as required This posting is for an active opening.
