Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency Centre is welcoming a full-time Veterinary Technologist, RVT, to join our team in the Oncology department. This is a 1-year contract position.
RVT’s with a minimum of 1 year of experience as a tech in a small animal or mixed animal practice.
Knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy.
Sedation/anesthetic monitoring, and patient recovery.
Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records.
Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their families.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to problem-solve or the ability to ask clarifying questions to help you find solutions.
Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents.
Passion to learn more within the role.
A love for all companion animals!!
Schedule: Monday – Thursday from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm

About Us: C.A.R.E. is a 24-hour emergency and referral specialty hospital, which operates out of a 26,000-square-foot facility in Calgary. The hospital is undergoing a complete update and expansion to facilitate the ever-growing caseload and expanding specialty services, including the design of a new, state-of-the-art ICU.
